The first ever HIGH TIMES Seattle Cannabis Cup, which took place on September 7th and 8th, has come to a conclusion following hundreds of flower, concentrate, and THC infused entries. Entries are to be judged on various characteristics, including taste, smell, and visual presentation, however, professional judgment relies heavily on more scientific rulings, more specifically the content of both THC and CBD.

Each cup submission is sent over for lab-testing by Analytical 360, a state-of-the-art medical marijuana testing facility that aims to provide safety-certified cannabinoid analysis for the “protection, education, and empowerment of patients.” To ensure unbiased analysis and results, Northwest Botanical Analysis (NWBA), is also heavily involved in final judging. NWBA deals with pesticide screening, butane testing, and most importantly potency analysis.
