Researchers in Manheim, Germany in the University of Heidelberg treated 9 patients with Fibromyalgia for chronic pain. Fibromyalgia causes extreme musculoskeletal pain and causes extreme discomfort in people who suffer from the disease. The patients were given doses of THC pills from 2.5 mg to 15 mg. Patients took no other medication and reported pain reduction of 50%. It is estimated 3 to 6 million Americans suffer from Fibromyalgia. The researchers suggest that a test with a placebo or control patients should be conducted to attain a more accurate result.
