Jeff Merkley, Democratic Senator of Oregon recently became the first United States Senator to publicly support the legalization of marijuana. Merkley noted that he would “most likely” vote in favor of Measure 91 which would allow for possession, manufacturing, and sale of marijuana by/to adults, subject to state licensing, regulation, and taxation.
